Flickering Landscapes Conference Co-Producer, Industry Liaison
Originally from Chicago, Alex Katsaros has been involved in studying and working in Florida’s digital media industry since 2003, when he became a member and staff of Digital Media Alliance Florida (DMAF). While attending master’s and doctoral classes at the University of Central Florida, Alex became DMAF’s Director of Research. Together with DMAF’s Board of Directors, Alex helped develop competitive, market, and demographic research about Florida’s film and digital media industry, thanks to funding by CareerSource Florida. His academic interests include developing online collaborative learning environments, location-based multimedia learning theory, and graphical user interface design research. This research synthesis has recently landed a U.S. Patent for Alex and his co-inventors. In his day job, Alex presently serves as a Technical Documentation Specialist in the cyber security industry at Fortress Information Security, LLC.
